Whilst living in New Zealand, Rachel was introduced to yoga in 2010. She was preparing for a 100 mile cycle race and discovered yoga as a way to balance long-distance training. Immediately, she saw results in increased flexibility, endurance and strength. Coupled with her background as a competitive gymnast, yoga seemed to be a natural fit and soon became an obsession.
Her love for travel and increased curiosity about yoga took her to Hawaii, where she completed her 200 hour Teacher Training with YogaCara. She returned to New Zealand and began teaching.
After returning to her hometown of Milwaukee to settle her young family, her focus of yoga shifted from solely athletic improvement to a deeper practice that reflects on finding balance between the physical body and mind. She practiced and taught during both her pregnancies and has a meaningful understanding and respect for one’s pre and postnatal ability. Rachel teaches vinyasa, slow flow and prenatal yoga.
